World Wide Fund for Nature launches mobile donation at MCA
Charity organization World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) launches the possibility of mobile donating via SKIP SMS. WNF will launch its new service during the main day of Mobile Convention Amsterdam on the 23th of May.
SKIP SMS offers WWF-donors a monthly subscription to donate a maximum amount of three euro’s. After a donor has subscribed he or she directly donates three euro’s to WWF. After subscribing WWF ask its donors every month to donate per SMS. Donors decide whether they donate or not.
With SKIP SMS there are no strings attached, says Jacob Bours, marketing manager for World Wide Fund for Nature. “In tough economical times like these, people should decide whether they donate every month or not. This method helps to make fundraising and donating more attractive.”
According to Dutch charity organization ‘VFI Brancheorganisatie voor goede doelen’, it’s just a matter of time other charity organizations start using the very same method of fundraising. www.wnf.nl/skip
